- An Autechre remix of SOPHIE might seem unlikely, but Autechre used to be prolific remixers and SOPHIE has spoken about their influence on her. Combining their sound design genius with SOPHIE's is a titillating prospect, but this remix of "BIPP" is quite simple: they slow the track down and add a sludgy freestyle beat. (It's almost a throwback to some of their obscurer '90s work.) Despite some satisfying low-end oomph, the whole thing is oddly restrained. It's passable because "BIPP" itself is a masterpiece—the problem with the remix is there's just no there there, especially when the original remains in reach.
