Shinedoe - Underspell

  • Shinedoe, hailing from the Netherlands, is one of the hottest producers in the techno-house scene right now. Her hypnotic blend has struck DJs like Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier while her debut release “Dilemma/ Alpha” on 100% Pure Records was caned at DC-10 in Ibiza in 2004. Since then resident appearances at Paradiso in Amsterdam have pushed her and Intacto Records, owned by Shinedoe and Dylan Hermelijn, to the forefront of the techno stage. The first track Underspell has a soft pad underlined with a harmonic melody and those famous reverbed hats while the bass complements the soft melody and keeps you in the mood; a track very good for building or bringing things down in a set. On the B-side Suppression provides some great drum patterns with acidic tinges and stabs. The track itself has an amazing build ensuring it will definitely be found on turntables in the top clubs. Once the break comes back out a true smack in the face and all hands in the air. These two cuts on Trapez represent a forceful, yet deep, Chicago-flavored techno/minimal house.
