  • Greek labels Klik and Swift team up for this new compilation series; the first of which is a face off between label bosses G-Pal and Anna Maria X with a bunch of choice tracks working the dancefloors at the moment along with unreleased music from Swift records. You have an inkling of what to expect as no doubt you've heard productions from this duo before and from the very first sound that preconception will be confirmed as a highly emotive instrumental sends shivers down your back as an intro of 'A Morning After' from VSag lifts the lid off seventy six minutes of mood-enhancing music. Gently gliding us into the groove 'Lullaby' next follows from new face Marek which ever so slowly begins to lift the pace with an atmospheric flow that's made richer with mystical vocals and a floaty melody. The energy continues with 'Carpe Diem' from B.I.G succeeded by Chris Nemmo's mix of El Greco's 'Nightwatch' as the pressure is jacked up with a blend of more energetic beats, swirling melodies and an uplifting flavour that starts to ooze out. By midway we're in the eye of the storm and Palash's mix of 'She Turns' from Departure eases back a little on the energetic melodies if only for a moment with a moody, rolling groove which is followed by Max Graham's take on 'Believe', raising the temperature once more and immediatly getting back to a peaktime build with vocal laden tracks from Chris Nemmo, Murat Uncuoglu and Starsign. Finishing up is music from Dj Tarkan, MOS and Plastique Vision that push deeper into peaktime with beefed up basslines and a driving edge. Overall the compilation is put together with a neat build of powerful tracks from some well known names along with new faces. With each track it progresses as a club set would, keeping a constant energy that at each turn pushes deeper into peakier territory although it does briefly lose its way for a bit mid-way through. Definitely one to have in the CD collection though.
