- The second part of MY Truth by Funk Harmony Park features four new remixes of this smooth release by the Iceland based outfit.
First up here is the Royal Sapien Main Room Mix and let me make this point clear – it is the best remix of the lot. It quite simply is stunning. The beats are upbeat and intense, the baseline is moody and has plenty of attitude, and finally the melodies and pattern that it paints is uplifting and brilliant. It is a fantastic remix that label manager Chris Fortier has been swearing by the last few months.
The Marky Star Remix v2.0 is next up and I must say that I do prefer this mix then his one on the first disc. The beats are quite upbeat and chunky at the same time and slight acid touch to the loops is quite nice, as are the baselines and smooth effects that come in and out of the track.
On the flip we first have the Royal Sapien Back Room Remix, and this time they turn in another fantastic mix to the release with a smooth dub. The beats are again vibrant from the Royal lads and the atmosphere created is superb, not to mention the quality yet again of the baseline.
The 3rd Morning Dub is the final mix of the lot and it is a stunning Arabic inspired production full of beautiful sounds and some very delicate percussion.
I must say that this 2nd disc is where the beauty of this release lies. Both mixes by Royal Sapien are fantastic and the 3rd Morning Dub is also superb. A must buy disc here.
