Nick Dare - In The House

  • This next release on Reform comes from the label manager himself, Nick Dare, and he puts three solid house productions to the table. In The House is quite a standard house production really, with some smooth beats and a nice deepish baseline working well under some vocal snippets and a subtle guitar like riff. The flow is pretty solid throughout, with not too many change ups or deviations. Bust The Disco puts the release on a pretty funky path with the funky riffs uniting with smooth beats yet again and a solid driving baseline. Pretty nice funky house here, but with an element of chunk to it. The Deep Dub Mix of In The House concludes the EP, and for me it’s the weakest production of the lot, lacking in any real cutting edge or variation. Look to the first two tracks for the goods here on this EP.
