- The next release here on Underl_ne Records is a curious four tracker called Wanda’s Wig Wax EP.
First up on the A-side is Wanda's Wig Wax by Jay Haze. It's a minimal piece of tech using subtle vocals as well as quirky sounds and a slightly muffled kick drum. The Wax Em Up Mix by Magda equally quirky. Nice trickling sounds meet a chunky bassline that rumbles throughout. Again the vocal is subtle and only makes short appearances throughout.
Turn it over and you firstly have Louderbach with his Forgotten Wax Mix. The vocal line is in full effect here and the bassline throbs throughout most of the track giving it a dark and desolate feel. Definitely one of the stronger mixes on this release. Finally Rosaire Argyle unleashes Bedside Table to close off the EP in style. The kick drum is extremely strong and shattering, full of reverberating effects, and it works well with tripped out vocal patterns and nice bouncy melodies.
Look to the B-side on this unusual but interesting outing from Underl_ne.
