- As Edge Records slowly approaches its 50th release, Gordon Edge yet again tries to lift the quality notches up a level or two with this release in his Reflex EP.
Reflexns is first up and I must say it is quite a solid track to add to his repertoire. Very nice funky electro house I guess is what you can call it, with a smooth baseline working well with a retro vocal sample and quirky, bouncy percussive beats.
Turn it over to Cant Do It Alone and you have a more conventional House production with a bit of a funky edge (no pun intended). A definite summer anthem full of trumpet riffs and a smooth as silk baseline, this rounds off quite a nice release by Gordon.
