Her albums tend to put playful moments and pummelling techno side-by-side. Here it's all within one track. "Relik" breaks down to a trance-like lead, before the beat kicks back in and the rhythms contort in new ways. The power of her production is something to behold. E-Saggila distills the sonic violence of other tracks on the EP into restrained and expansive sound design. The contrast of feelings conjured by the euphoric melody and dark, muscular low-end could be at odds, but Mikhael nails it. In a set of brooding, broken-beat techno, "Relik" would lift eyes from the floor to the ceiling.
