  • "I wrote 'Below The Clavicle' when I was waiting to understand more about a situation before talking about it—when the meaning was still below the clavicle and hadn't made it up to my head yet," Eartheater says of her latest track. With melancholic acoustics front-and-center, our first glimpse into her upcoming album is heart-wrenching, cinematic pop. The blistering electronics and gimmicks of 2018's IRISIRI are gone. Her sublime vocals are the track's most arresting element, coming in breathy and periodically cracking with emotion. Backed by the Ensemble de Cámara CSMA, her falsetto travels like an autumn breeze, gentle yet ill-boding, over silky strings, a twinkling harp and the steady strum of her guitar. In a moment fit for a score, she yelps the chorus as the orchestra's crescendo rushes upward like a wave. It's so breathtakingly pretty, it's near sacrilegious to listen to.
