It's an edit of an unnamed vocal track with an exceptionally chunky rhythm section and a perfectly tuned 303. It's thick and coagulated, without too much high-end resonance. "Hey Ladies" is both a great pop song and a fine house tool, a lovelorn acid track in the grand tradition of Adonis & Charles B's "Lack Of Love." Yes, it sounds like it could have come out in 1988, but it's built for today's dance floors. In a world where those dance floors existed, this would be the Studio Barnhus summer hit.
