- Hip-hop, chiptune and footwork on downers.
- RIP Sony, the debut solo EP from the Fly High Society affiliate Tre'Bore, is drenched in a post-internet, sadboi aesthetic. Like much music from this era, it takes a kaleidoscopic approach to its influences. The highlight is its opening track, "Shout Out My Bros," which features Tre'Bore's own vocals. It's a sedate and psychedelic hip-hop tune, drenched in the sound of too many downers. It almost lulls you into thinking you know exactly what's coming next, but the truth is, I didn't. "Delta Sheets," another highlight, moves a cheerful melody through hip-hop, chiptune and footwork via a few rave sirens. RIP Sony is an assured debut that draws from a number of elements, but balances them to create a sound of its own.
