  • Driss Bennis, the DJ and producer behind the excellent Casa Voyager label, calls his countryman Polyswitch the "Moroccan Glenn Underground." You might also call him the Moroccan Kyle Hall. Or the Moroccan Dâm-Funk. You get the idea. Like the producers his tracks bring to mind, Polyswitch's sounds are groovy, smooth and warm, built from funk, disco and soul samples that gives his tunes an ageless feel. Feverish Cuts Vol. 2 has a few tunes that would suit a summertime drive along Casablanca's beachside Boulevard de la Corniche, but none more than "Ngozi" or "Ancestral Fever." Spacey and slo-mo, they're two of the best tracks Polyswitch has released. Unless you happen to be driving in Casablanca anytime soon, a cosy apartment will be the best place to soak up these tracks.
