- No Sleep Til Avon is a compilation that pays testament to Bristol's taste for hard beats and industrial sounds. Featuring cuts from local producers like Kinlaw, Half Nelson and Narcissist Holocaust, it stands at 21 tracks, a relentless behemoth of bleeps and beats.
A highlight is Ekoplekz's "Volcanic," which throws you in the deep end with an fuzzy cacophony of rumbling bass and beats. There's a clever blend of synths, drum machine and electric guitar, plus an effects-laden melody that breaks up the swampy low-end frequencies. That melody doesn't go anywhere, but that seems to be the point. The devil is in the detail.
