Working Men's Club - Teeth (Anthony Naples Remix)

  • Upbeat synth pop for busy dance floors.

  • Working Men's Club, an upcoming Yorkshire band, consider Anthony Naples' Fog FM one of their favourite albums. Like great rock music, it's great for dancing but also works on a deeper level, full of touching tones and melodies that burrow into your brain. Naples' remix of the band's "Teeth" isn't as deep, but it will certainly get dance floors moving. An upbeat blend of synth pop and post-punk, it's the kind of thing DJs like Honey Soundsytem and Mister Saturday Night would play to a few hundred smiling dancers. There's plenty of James Murphy in Sydney Minsky-Sargeant's deadpan vocals, which Naples wisely retains. This is classy music that's also fun. That might seem like a simple achievement, but few do it as well as this.
