- An unexpected combination of artist and label proves to be a great fit.
- Air Max '97 is from a different world, but his new record shows that he's a good fit for Timedance. "Ice Bridge" adds lean syncopations and sub frequencies to Air Max '97's signature synthetic textures and kinky sampling. It follows a feverish old-school hardcore and dark jungle beat that sometimes collapses into ambient. "Bruxis" is more classic Air Max '97 experimentation, but there's a more uniform beat that feels made for a grimy basement club. An oscillating bassline leads us through tactile beats, clanks and offbeat vocal details. Combining Air Max '97's quirks with the sound of Bristol's underground makes for a refreshing take on tried and tested forms.
