  • Last year, Matt Unicomb wrote that Krystal Klear's "Neutron Dance" had the potential to be 2018's "Inspector Norse." His prediction came true: the Italo-inspired track's cheery sounds blasted across dance floors around the world, the instantly recognizable melody providing jolts of feel-good energy. The Irish producer has been riding high since—"Neutron Dance" was even licensed by Warner—but there comes a time in every rising star's life when they must follow their smash hit single. "Euphoric Dreams" sees Krystal Klear attempt another big-room home run with much of what made "Neutron Dance" irresistible. The synths shimmer, the melody sounds deliriously happy and it has the same vaguely retro sound that made "Neutron Dance" feel familiar. But the rush is less exciting the second time around—the melodies feel excessive, the energy canned. "Miyoki" tries something different. Its uppercut chord progression and throbbing hi-NRG bassline is primed with multiple breakdowns that might make some DJs grin, and others blush. These tracks are catchy and undeniably effective, but a little hollow, too.
