- DCM and Cody team up for the next release on the very tasty Sex on Wax imprint, and they deliver two brand spanking new production to the table for the 13th release on the label.
First up is Deluded which is quite chunky from the word go. Dark chugging beats meet with a subtle swirling baseline that twirls in the background, combining to build the track for the first few minutes. The track takes a twisted turn for the good midway in as swirling effects lead into a breakdown filled with deep baselines and quirky sounds. The beats come roaring back into action creating a very smooth and peak time house record.
On the flip is Dirty B, and it is not quite as intense as the a-side. The beats are a lot more tribal based, and the drums are very strong and heavy. The flow throughout is quite constant and for me that production isn’t quite as varied enough to keep me entertained for its duration.
All in all though, it is quite a solid release for the label, and for those that dig the tribal percussive sound with a good groove, then this may be an ideal release to check out.
