- The trio that combine to make Tantamanna are next up on the UK based label, Baroque, and they follow up their successful outing last year in ‘Bad Dreams’ with the 2 disc Diverted Minds EP. The first disc here, features 2 storming original productions from the trio.
On the a-side is Infinite, and the track sets the tone early on with some chunky beats as well as a deep grumbling baseline. An ‘Infinite’ vocal sample leads to more talking dialogue that soon leads to a nice delicate early break in music that sees subtle melodic effects lead into the track stepping up another notch. Melodic tones now ride with the beats and the track flows smoothly from here on in with nice trickling melodies and a slid groove.
Level 745 on the flip is a little more twisted with a squelchy baseline that works fantastically well with quirky effects as well as a filtered vocal line as well as a more conventional vocal sample. The track features a synthy breakdown midway that gives the track an electronic edge, which is continued for the remainder with twisted loops closing the track in style.
The quality music keeps coming, and this release from Baroque is no different. 2 very interesting original productions from the creative minds of Tantamanna.
