Tantamanna – Diverted Minds EP (Disc Two)

  • Following the first disc of this Diverted Minds EP by Tantamanna which featured 2 quality original works from the Trio, the 2nd instalment is given a helping hand from ADF who remix 2003’s Bad Dreams, while the lads work their hand at another original production on the b-side. Bad Dreams (ADF Remix) is first up, and they turn in quite a dark and pounding remix. The vocals are placed over dark twisted sounds that build and chug along for the first half of the track. The breakdown midway acts as a transition point for the track to gain intensity and really takeoff for the remainder, as the hats and sounds gain a little more purpose. Not a bad remix at all. The bouncy and very full on Music Man closes off the EP in pretty good style. Again the baseline is a main focus, as it pounds the senses, while the vocal line makes slight impact from time to time. But its really all about the low-end sounds that would sure work nicely on a system that could do it justice. A pretty good second disc that for me is just outdone by the first. Well worth a look however, as it rounds off a pretty solid set of release for Baroque.
