- Ocean Wave (Kasey Taylor) got his dirty little production hands in on this one. Also part of the Vapour Recordings artist list he was a sure bet with some of the originals and remixes that have come out of that studio of his. He used the same toms as the original but altered and tricked them a bit. The vocals were given a drawn out echoing effect that get lead through the soundscapes by the pushing and pulling of the simple bassline. Ocean Wave has given this remix a very big room feel with a large building break. Techy stabs drive the sound while Kasey keeps adding more hooks. What he did that I like in a track is that he placed subtle sounds and tones throughout the track but he only has them appear once or twice making it an intricate remix.
Next the Austrailian breaks act Nubreed give the double disc a whole different sound. Known for their stunnig originals and justice doing remixes this is quite a the B side for the record. Right from the start you hear the signature sound of Nubreed, amazing stabs with nu school effects make it a very playable remix. On the techy side of the breaks front they have given a new life the this classic while still keeping many on the original sounds. Using the same idea of the atmospherics they added distortion effects to make it one ripping synth line. Diving stabs pull the track to its end and giving the listener a sense of fullfillment. This remix will make this disc duo appeal to the breaks DJs around the world.
An acapella was also layed out on this side for you DJs to layer and producers to make your own remix of No Way out. The set release date is November 3rd.
