- Relative newcomer to the Mantra Vibes camp returns to follow up his massively successful ‘Psiko Garden’ with a two track release that is sure to be just as successful as the previously mentioned track. Alex Dolby made quite an impact with ‘Psiko Garden’, with plays coming from Sasha and Seb Fontaine, and this release continues in the melodic progressive mould.
Nice tight drums begin the production of Hazy Way accompanied by some delicate synth formations and a bouncy piano line. As robotic vocals introduce you to the Hazy Way, a deep low end baseline roars from the depths of the production. The track builds superbly with the melodies, echoing synths, baseline and vocal samples all working to create a sizzling atmosphere for the summer sun. The trademark raging synths of Dolby’s productions make a late appearance to close out another sure fire hit for Alex.
From the word go the drums on Visionary Lake are slightly tougher, upping the tempo from the outset. But soon enough some graceful melodic riffs embrace the track while the deep bouncy baseline adds a well placed groove into the loop. The track maintains a pretty constant flow throughout, with the trademark Dolby sounds coming in late. Another well produced summer hit from Alex.
This is definitely more like it from Alex Dolby, and these two tracks in particular emphasise the talent of this Italian producer. Rest assured for those who liked ‘Psiko Garden’, these two tracks are just as good, and mark another above average release for Mantra Vibes.
