Flash Brothers - Deep Love EP (Disc One)

  • Next up on Greek label, Swift Recordings, is an EP from the highly talented Flash Brothers. Disc One from the Deep Love EP sees the title track ‘Deep Love’ and `Sarcasm’ do the damage for the Israeli brothers that have exploded onto the scene in the last few years. Sarcasm is on the a-side, and featured on Dave Seaman’s Global Underground Melbourne release. The track is quite eerie throughout, with the trademark tribal drumwork of the brothers also featuring. A nice deep baseline builds the production in the first half, while effects swirl around the foreground of the production. The breakdown midway is quite hypnotic and melodic, and is quite a highlight of a pretty impressive production. Deep Love is on the flip, and as the name suggests, this is quite a deep affair for the Flash Brothers. Not as tribally as Sarcasm, the track has a solid 4/4 flow, with a summer guitar riff featuring and a small female vocal sample. Smooth and subtle synth effects also ride in the background of the track, giving it a nice aura. Two pretty solid tracks that will definitely appeal to the fans of the Flash Brothers, with a long overdue release for Sarcasm, and a healthy addition to the Flash discography with Deep Love.
