- Jonathan Hart is next up in line on Alternative Route with Vices. Jonathan, an influential figure behind Proton radio Station, delivers his first outing on the label, and also teams up with Mark Omni on the flip to deliver the Dub.
Vices is first up and it begins with a quirky 4/4 beat accompanied with a punchy baseline that maintains a good groove throughout. Soon enough, the smooth synths and higher end sounds take control giving the production a uplifting vibe which escalates towards the latter stages.
The Montreal Nights Vices Dub is on the flip and the clear difference is the lack of the more uplifting vibes, however, there are elements of bubbly sounds throughout. The baseline though is a lot chunkier and the broken beat midway is a welcome addition.
A pretty solid release by Jonathan, that has a cutting edge that grabs you from the word go. If in the right mood, this production will definitely bring some happy moments to any musical setting.
