Definitely one of the strongest releases on Alternative route, Guy Gerber has delivered the goods with Electric Mistress.
On the a-side is the Rainbow Mix which begins with some smooth drum beats and a nice little electro synth progression. The production builds nicely with little melodic touches that ring around the track and give it a nice summer feel about it. The highlight of this mix is the unique arrangement of the track, as it follows no real pattern, and helps keep it interesting for the duration.
The Free Drinks Mix on the flip has a simpler drum pattern and a simple baseline that keeps the production flowing throughout. The melodies get a reworking and are more structured in this mix. Not as quirky as the rainbow mix, but solid nevertheless.
Another great release for a label that continues to do its thing quietly and efficiently.
