Adam Freeland - On Tour

  • On Tour is Adam Freeland''s latest compilation that pretty much spells out what he is about and possibly where breaks are heading at the moment. A vocal crowd was in the background for the entire CD which was a good effect used to enhance any climactic parts or wicked bass-lines. It definitely helped set the scene for a set played on tour with what sounds like a large mass of punters making noise at any oppurtunity. The lead off track; Adam Freeland''s remix of Absurd by Fluke seems to get one in the mood for a wicked set of progressive breaks. After that it suddenly kicks in to some deep breaks for a while. The majority of the tracks seem to dance upon that thin line between progressive breaks and deep breaks. Being a fan of more progressive breaks the CD tends to waver in and waver out for me. However there are some standouts. One being ILS''s track "6 Space". And another Adam Freeland mix of Warrior Squad by Pressure Drop definitely gets you wishing you were there (i mean on this tour wherever it is) The use of vocals during the build up made the climax just that much better... The general conclusion one can draw from listening to this CD is that it is for the aquired ear. Freeland fans won''t be disappointed, but this is definitely not a CD for the armchair listener. For all you vinyl pushers out there, there is definitely some stuff on here worth flicking your needle on to.
