Vocalist Jessy Allen's calm and collected delivery complements the record's driving sense of urgency, with stuttered rasps and dusky pads undulating atop classic fist-pumping drums. On the flip, "Girls Can't Swim" turns away from house towards jackhammer drums and soundbites of a factory-floor. Tyrell's industrial taste is present, but as pounding kicks reverberate endlessly within their barren confines, you're left yearning for the classy house of "Luv Thang."
