- Carlos Fauvrelle is next up on Choo Choo with a track that was signed to appear on the Dubfire Afterclub Toronto mix on Global Underground, by the name of 'Operator'. It comes with 2 mixes, and has a distinct dancefloor appeal.
The Original Mix features on the a-side. It really is all about the baseline in this production. Hammered by the likes of Deep Dish, the baseline keeps this production rolling helped with the vocal sample; ‘This is your operator…’ Subtle effects float in and out of the track throughout giving it some substance, as do the minimal synths that are featured deeper into the production.
On the flip is the 8AM Mix. This mix takes a more tribal approach then the flip. Stabbing effects help the production progress but it doesn’t have the appeal as the mix on the reverse. The drums alone can’t maintain the interest of this track for the duration.
The original has it all for me. Great baseline that never dies, and plenty of guts in the drums. Check it out.
