- Ultrasound finds Luke Solomon on fine form and effortlessly joining the dots between the quirky house styles he himself pioneered as The Digital Kid and the more esoteric approaches of the artists he released via Classic and Music For Freaks. One of house's more idiosyncratic voices, Solomon's foray into the groove for Fullbarr has his stamp all over it, with the remixers obviously standing in as kindred spirits. The four versions range from the stark, clean synthetic features of the original, through to the warmer, more submerged Kalabrese remix and then Losoul's intense effort, which, along with the "Horn Version," marks its territory by peaking and troughing in all the right places courtesy of deft sonic architecture and a big-room sensibility. This is house music that subtly funks you up, made by someone with plenty of experience.
