Evar Records came from a conversation between Aura T-09 and Trickfinger (John Frusciante), concerning the importance of exploration and freedom in music. Their idea was to create a place where artists could release projects that don't fit into the aesthetic specificity of most electronic labels, and to give space for musical integrity that can otherwise get lost due to the logistics of branding. They appreciate music which takes risks and doesn't rely on formulas, but what matters most in the end is the feeling. They plan to curate digital and vinyl projects that show the alternate side of specific musicians, highlighting the innocence of creativity outside of comfort zones, while also including music from artists just putting their best foot forward. They see no hierarchy between music for the brain and music for the body, and will feature tracks from either extreme and anywhere in between. There are no set limits, only ideas. Evar looks to maintain the essence of rave: the celebration of boundless infinity, and freedom from segregation.
