- The Canadian producer will release his second full-length in September.
Pan/Tone will release his first full-length in four years, entitled Skip the Foreplay, in September.
Sheldon Thompson, AKA Pan/Tone, may have one of the dorkiest names in electronic music, but that isn't stopping him from producing fashionable techno. Skip the Foreplay is a no-nonsense album that goes to electro ("Makers Mark"), acoustic-based minimal ("Shame"), Two Lone Swordsmen-esque dread techno ("Lost Highways"), starch-white techno pop ("Clean Getaway"), and more for its 12 tracks. It's a varied album, in other words, falling in line with the "anything goes" spirit of his Cereal/Killers imprint, which will release the album.
