- Maidstone night ClubClass are hosting the afters for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend next month. Radio 1's Big Weekend is a free indie, pop, rock and dance festival. This year's fest happening in Maidstone has Madonna, Editors, Goldfrapp, Fatboy Slim and Justice on the bill with tickets decided by a ballot. If you're unlucky enough to miss out on one of the 30,000 tix you can still join the party at the fully-ticketed ClubClass afters happening at Maidstone TV Studios. French techno pioneer Laurent Garnier headlines alongside a DJ set from indie-dance pair Simian Mobile Disco, Radio 1 staples Pete Tong and Annie Mac, as well as ClubClass residents Nic Fanciulli and Sam Ball. Danny Rampling also sneaks out of retirement (again) to relive the Shoom days with a special acid house set. Super down on your luck and miss out on tickets to both? Never mind as the night will also be broadcast live on Radio 1.
