  • Glasgow's most famous release arm Soma finishes off the year with a compilation featuring cuts from their 2007 catalogue. 'Soma 2007' arrives next month. 2007 has been one of Soma's most diverse years yet. The long-running Scottish label reissued all of The Black Dog's pre-Warp singles and albums on CD and vinyl, launched a new leftfield non-dance compilation series 'Sci.Fi.Lo.Fi' with Andrew Weatherall, plus put out new longplayers by label bosses Slam and IDM/electronica studio nerd Vector Lovers. 'Soma 2007' arrives as a single unmixed CD featuring past cuts from label regulars Slam, Lee Van Dowski, Funk D'Void and Alex Smoke as well as material from new signings Let's Go Outside and The Unknown Wanderer. Highlights include My Robot Friend's cover of Blondie's 'Rapture' as well The Black Dog's fourteen-year-old classic 'Cost II'. But there'll be no slacking off for the label with a new 'Sci.Fi.Hi.Fi' mix due from Funk D'Void in early 2008. Tracklist 01. Vector Lovers - A Field 02. The Black Dog - Cost II 03. Slam - Azure (Part 1) 04. Let’s Go Outside - I’ll Lick Your Spine (Repeat Repeat Remix) 05. Silicone Soul - 3am 06. Funk D’Void - Lovin’ (Your Body Remix) 07. Slam - No One Left To Follow 08.
