  • 'Screw the Coffeemaker', the debut album from Swiss minimal house up-and-comer Michal Ho, gets an international release on Tuning Spork this October. Ho is best known for dabbling in the studio with fellow countryman Samim as Samim & Michal, but he also makes solo 12"s, popping up on recent mix CDs by Steve Bug and Matthias Tanzmann, while his live laptop shows have landed him headline spots in London and New York this year. Limited pressings of 'Screw the Coffeemaker' originally came out as an eight track double vinyl LP in the U.S. this June, but the album will now get a worldwide release with three bonus tracks included on a CD version. The press notes promise "jacking grooves and slamming beats" with a focus on the details. Ricardo Villalobos, who has been flogging the album in his sets, says, "The dancefloor quality of each track is amazing. Funky house tech." Tracklist A1. Take Away feat. JonJon A2. Gills B1.
