  • Tribal house kings Chus and Ceballos and UK house dons the Shapeshifters and Pete Heller wind up Def Mix and Saw Recordings seventh stint in the Balaerics this month. Expect to see each of them in the booth on a Saturday night at Pacha soon. Clubbers in Ibiza may not be very forgiving but at least they're loyal. Impress them once and there's a good chance they'll come back the following year, and if you're lucky, with a few extra friends. Although the Def Mix studios stopped pumping out the tunes a long time ago its original members David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Satoshi Tomiie and Hector Romero (who know head up prog stable Saw Recordings) still know how to keep the crowds coming back in Ibiza. The foursome will wrap up their seventh Def Mix and Saw Recordings residency on the island in the coming weeks. For the final weeks of the season, the two New York labels have called on some production masterminds: Chus and Ceballos have just given Paris Hilton's 'Stars are Blind' a makeover, latest Shapeshifters single 'Sensitivity' is a collaboration between the lads and Chic's Nile Rodgers and Pete Heller's newie 'Simpler' blew the crowds away at Creamfields last month. Here are the line-ups for the final four parties: Sept 9 David Morales, Chus and Ceballos, Angel Linde Sept 16 Frankie Knuckles, Shapeshifters, Sarah Main Sept 23 Satoshi Tomiie, Pete Heller, Hector Romero Sept 30 David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Sebastian Gamboa The Def Mix and Saw Recordings residency in Ibiza takes place on Saturdays at Pacha.
