  • This weekend video game sound design buff and tech house producer Jeff Samuel will play at a new night Discoloco in Miami. Discoloco (OK, not exactly the most original name) is a brand new Miami party aimed at introducing minimal techno, electro and tech house to a city previously dominated by house, trance and progressive. Spectral Sound's Matthew Dear launched the night last Saturday and this week tech house producer and video game sound effects guru Jeff Samuel makes his way to Downtown Miami for the second of what will eventually become a monthly event. Tech house producer Jeff Samuel has notched up releases on Poker Flat, Trapez, Frankie and Spectral Sound. Most recently he provided the bounce on a remix of Phonique's 'The Gift' for Will Saul's revitalised Simple label and reworked Der Dritte Raum's 'The Process' for Berlin's Resopal. Following on from what was one of the most musically diverse Miami WMCs ever, new night Discoloco might be a sign Downtown clubbers are looking for something more appetising than the terraces of Space Miami on their Saturday nights out. Jeff Samuel plays Discoloco at I/O in Downtown Miami on Saturday, August 19 supported by residents Stryke and Gabriel Alexander.
