  • A new exhibition in Warsaw has captured the early years of the Polish capital's club scene. Launched last Sunday, May 8th, at Muzeum Woli, EUFORIA! About Warsaw's Club Scene after 1989 explores the broader cultural and social context of the scene and how it reflected the rapidly changing political dynamics of Poland at that time. Fugazi, Filtry, CDQ and Piekarnia are among the venues featured. It runs until December 15th. The exhibition "is a subjective presentation of selected club venues in the capital, which appeared in the urban fabric at the time of the transformation frenzy and defined the character of Warsaw's club scene for many years," said curator Konrad Schiller. "It's not only an insight into Warsaw's clubbing during the period of change, but also an attempt to look at an aspect of Warsaw's cultural heritage that has so far played out in memories. It becomes a contribution to writing the history of the city from a club perspective." Find out more about the exhibition, and check out some photos.
