The BBC has aired two radio documentaries exploring club culture and the politics of resistance in Beirut and Salvador, Brazil.
Produced and hosted by British reporter Frank McWeeny, both episodes are part of the BBC World Service's Global dancefloor series. In Beirut, he met the team behind The Grand Factory, a club located in the heart of the capital that continues to operate despite a backdrop of economic and political turmoil.
The Salvador episode is on Batekoo, a QTPOC collective using music, dance and education to stand up for oppressed communities.
