Deena Abdelwahed is back with a new album.
Out on September 8th through InFiné, Jbal Rrsas was produced as part of Consortium Commissions, an initiative dedicated to spotlighting emerging artists from the Arab world, run by Brussels-based NGO Mophradat. There will be listening parties in Berlin, Milan and Barcelona next month.
Jbal Rrsas is the follow-up to Deena Abdelwahed's acclaimed 2018 debut LP, Khonnar. More recently, the Tunisian artist scored the LGBTQIA+ play Flagranti and featured on the first fabric Selects compilation.
