  • One of Paris's leading techno clubs has just published a book. Rex Club 1988-2023 is a 496-page tome featuring black-and-white images of DJs, clubbers and live acts from the venue's 35-year history, plus fliers, photos of objects left in the club and other ephemera. The book was put together by the club's artistic director, Antoine Molkhou, with sponsorship from Red Bull and the clothing company Carhartt. Rex Club opened in 1988 at the dawn of the acid house era. Over the past three and a half decades it has hosted almost every important DJ from France and overseas, and become a hub for techno in the French capital. It closed this weekend for renovations and is expected to reopen after the summer. Rex Club 1988-2023 is available from Oddity Paris, priced €35. See more on the club's Instagram.
