  • Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, who recently passed away from colon cancer, had prepared a playlist for his own funeral, according to the artist's management. Sharing the playlist via Twitter, his team said the celebrated producer was privately compiling songs to be played at his funeral. The 33-track playlist starts with "Haloid Xerrox Copy 3 (Paris)" by Sakamoto's collaborator Alva Noto before moving onto classics by Erik Satie, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel and Nino Rota, ending on Laurel Halo's "Breath." "He truly was with music until the very end," Sakamoto's management wrote on Twitter. Listen to the playlist below.
