  • Berlin-based record label and events company Dystopian is closing. Breaking the news on Instagram on Friday, May 5th, the label didn't give a reason for the closure, but thanked fans for their support over the years. "We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of Dystopian," the post read. "As we move on to new endeavours, we will cherish the memories and experiences we gained." In another post, Dystopian cofounder Rødhåd confirmed that he will "continue to focus" on his other label, WSNWG, "which is there to showcase collaborations with likeminded artists from different horizons." Dystopian started as a promoter in 2009, before launching the label wing three years later. It quickly became one of Berlin's most established techno labels, releasing music from Rødhåd, Recondite and Monoloc, among others. Read both posts in full.
