  • London festival company The Fair is launching a career advice line for new music industry professionals. The service, dubbed simply The Advice Line, will offer guidance to young people wanting to start festivals and events. They'll receive free, 30-minute phone or video calls with one of two directors at The Fair: Yasmin Galletti and Rob Dudley, who have 30 years' experience between them. More mentors will be added later. "I know how hard it can be to get your foot in the door, which is why I want to ensure the next generation of talent have more resources available, and a friendly face to talk to," Galletti said. "We can all be doing more to get our wonderful industry to be known and for the fresh generation of talent to realise events as a real career choice." Dudley added that he hopes "this initiative gives those people thinking about setting out on a career in events the opportunity to get some practical, broad-ranging and honest advice, which will go on to benefit our industry as a whole." The Fair is an award-winning live event production company, responsible for festivals such as Boiler Room, GALA and El Dorado. Book your call now.
