Kyiv club Closer to pay for outdoor fire damage with new Sunday party

- Earlier this week, a blaze destroyed the upper wooden deck above the open-air dance floor.
- Part of Kyiv club Closer was completely destroyed in a fire earlier this week. According to a post on the club's Instagram, the blaze broke out in the evening on Monday, March 20th. It began in the metal "ship" structure outside before consuming the upper wooden deck above the open-air dance floor. Only the metal frame of the upper deck and stairs remains. There was no damage indoors. Closer will pay for the repairs—which it aims to complete in time for Strichka Festival in mid-May—with a new series of Sunday parties, starting this weekend with residents Igor Glushko, Bambu and Serge Jazzmate. Doors will run from 3 PM through 10:30 PM. Earlier this week, we ran a round-up of the best releases by Ukrainian producers in the past year.
