RA and RE/FORM to collaborate on community workshop and mixer in LA

- Resident Advisor is partnering with Los Angeles festival RE/FORM on their spring 2023 community workshop, Techno Lives Beyond The Dance Floor. Taking place on March 31st at Optimist Studios, near LAX, the event invites artists, DJs, ravers, and all other members of the techno and house communities. The night will begin at 7 PM and features a music industry panel with promoters JIA, Marco Sgalbazzini and Andrew Souto—the minds behind RE/FORM—as well as Noetic owner David Castellani and RA's Andrew Ryce. After the panel, IO Music Academy cofounder Adam Weimann will create a track live entirely out of found sound recorded directly from the audience in their session, Lost & Found Sound: Music Production Workshop. ArtistMap will also host a modular production workshop with David Castellani and Trovarsi. Attendees are encouraged to learn and connect with industry leaders and members of the community. They'll also have the opportunity to sign up to DJ during an open decks and industry mixer. Entry is free with RSVP. The following two days, RE/FORM Festival will take place at the same location.
