  • Montreal festival MUTEK has revealed the first artists performing this year. Running from August 22nd through 27th at the Quartier Des Spectacles, MUTEK will welcome more than 100 sound and visual artists, including 30 debutants at the festival. The first announcement spans 33 live performances, with slots for Animistic Beliefs, dBridge, Hatis Noit, Deena Abdelwahed, SKY H1 & Mika Oki, Nick León, Eris Drew & Jeisson Drenth and µ-Ziq & ID:Mora. The weekend before the festival proper, MUTEK is partnering with international media platform INSCAPE and Usine C to present "INSCAPE: NEW HOMEOSTASIS," two evenings that will celebrate the creative relationship between Canada and the Republic of Korea.
