Swiss company GPU Audio is giving away its latest audio FX bundle.
The Space & Time pack is the second in GPU's series of free plug-ins that are powered by a computer's graphics card, rather than its processor. This reduces the load on a computer's CPU, delivering ultra-low latency times.
The latest FX bundle includes three FX processors. The FIR Convolver is a convolution reverb that models the ambience of a virtual acoustic space. FIReVerb is another reverb offering decay times up to ten seconds plus a single-pole band-pass filter. The third effect is a stereo delay with a time shift setting to create extra width, plus a resonant band-pass filter on each channel.
GPU Audio is pioneering the idea of using graphics processing units to power music production software. The company is also currently working on a GPU-powered synth called MAJOR, which is expected later this year.
To use the Space & Time bundle you need a PC running Windows 10 with a Nvidia or AMD graphics card. Beta support for Apple systems will be available later in the year.
