  • Bristol-based non-profit Noods Levels is hosting a day of talks and workshops later this month. A free event taking place at Bristol Beacon on March 18th, Crosstalk will include talks with BBC Radio 1's Victoria Jane, BRICKS Magazine's Tori West and grime artist Risky Roadz, who will be hosting a Grime Stories Q&A in collaboration with the Museum of London. There will also be a DJ workshop run by Pioneer and local organisation Saffron, a VR and app development workshop run by software producer Rocketmakers and a sound technician course. The project has been funded by Arts Council England and Resident Advisor's not-for-profit jobs board Doors Open. Noods Levels was launched by the team behind Bristol station Noods Radio in 2021. The initiative aims to develop the skills of young people in the south west of England through educational programmes, one-to-one mentoring and pastoral support from established artists. Fill out an application form and check out the event flyer.
