  • Dresden's objekt klein a was damaged in a fire over the weekend. The fire brigade were called to the club on Sunday, February 12th, according to local news site TAG24. The report confirmed that no one was harmed, and blamed the fire on "a metal lattice box filled with logs [which] caught fire outside." objekt klein a's Josefine Went is confident that there is no serious damage to the club, and hopes it will reopen within the next few days. "We're still very shocked!" she told Resident Advisor. "The fire started in the outdoor area, close to the wall. Fortunately, the fire department was quickly on the scene and was able to prevent the worst. No one was injured and the property damage remains manageable: our main power line is damaged and some equipment melted through. We also bricked up the destroyed window today." Went continued: "We're also happy to be able to rule out arson with certainty. Maintenance and repairs are in full swing. Half the team is up there right now, day and night, repairing, cleaning and bricklaying. We're trying everything so that the SPOILER event can take place on Saturday. We are optimistic!" Launched in 2017, objekt klein a is a three-room space located on Meschwitzstraße. The club has hosted sets from the likes of Cromby, Elli Acula and Albrecht Wassersleben already this year.
