  • Bristol station Noods Radio is hosting a new photo exhibition exploring dance music and alternative youth culture. A collaboration with music and culture magazine Dance Policy, Communal Throb runs from today, February 3rd, through February 5th at Centrespace Gallery. The exhibition aims to convey the intimacy and communality of dance music subcultures, with a particular focus on the political context of raving. "It's not enough to chuck vaguely interesting photos on a wall without considering the political history of these subcultures," said Dance Policy. Founded in 2015, Noods is an independent station broadcasting from Stokes Croft. It's also an editorial platform. Browse the website. Local queer promoter PLU will soundtrack tonight's launch party. Here's the flyer and some photos from the exhibition.
