  • London club fabric will celebrate 20 years of its relationship with Ricardo Villalobos with a 24-hour party next year. Taking place on Saturday, February 11th, the Continuum event will feature an extended set from the longtime resident, plus further performances from Maher Daniel, O.BEE, Tomas Station, Praslea and Sonja Moonear. Additional guests are still TBA. "In November 2002, we booked Ricardo for the first time," fabric wrote on Instagram. "Craig Richards was a weekly resident and invited Ricardo to play a night. He played for two and a half hours—the one and only time he played what we might deem a 'short' set. We didn't quite know what to expect when he first turned up to play. And perhaps that's still true today. A Ricardo set at the club, even 20 years on, will always surprise us." Launched in November 2021, Continuum is fabric's flagship marathon weekender series, with parties often advancing well into the early hours of Monday morning. Recent editions include a Blueprint Records showcase and a Craig Richards-curated event with Nicolas Lutz, Vera and Willow. Alongside a typically prolific year of DJing, Villalobos released a flurry of EPs and a collaborative album with jazz drummer Samuel Rohrer in 2022. Read fabric's post in full.
